A WWE Hall of Famer looks set for an appearance at this Friday’s SmackDown from Memphis, TN (March 15).

With WWE looking to continue their hot streak of sell-out shows, SmackDown heads to the homeplace of Rock ‘N’ Roll – Memphis, TN on March 15.
With SmackDown already set to house The People’s Champion The Rock, just weeks before his first WWE match in eight years, it seems as if they may have another legend up their sleeve for the show.

According to PWInsider, Memphis’ own Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler is set to appear on SmackDown, with the Hall of Famer recently announcing that he would be unable to make a scheduled appearance in New York City on Saturday (March 16) due to being called upon by WWE for the show.
Lawler’s last WWE appearance came on the August 28 edition of Monday Night Raw, where he was brought out by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to greet the crowd in Memphis during a commercial break.

It remains to be seen whether WWE plan to feature Lawler on TV on SmackDown, or whether the appearance will be similar to his last and take place off-camera.
Lawler suffered a stroke back in February 2023, but has thankfully made positive steps in his recovery – being able to return to making public appearances.
