A WWE star has debuted a new darker iteration of their character after making an in-ring return after over a year away from TV.
While Wendy Choo has made one NXT Level Up appearance since returning from injury, tonight marked her return to NXT on USA Network and she certainly made a big impression.
While she was still in a sleep romper, pigtails and carried her soft pillow with her… it was clear that Choo’s slumber had caused a big character shift to the dark side.
Wendy Choo featured spooky new makeup, giving her the appearance of a deranged toy as she leaned into the appearance of a frightening baby doll.
A ferocious Choo came out of the gate with violence during her return match against Brinley Reece, with Vic Joseph describing her as having ‘malicious intent’, and Booker T being impressed by her renewed sense of purpose.
While Reece was able to get at least a scoop slam in, it was a dominant performance from Choo who would go on to lock Brinley Reece in a submission hold and win the match, all whilst spookily smiling.
