A WWE star was back in action tonight for his first match in several months after his issues with management.

Over the past numbers of weeks, Brooks Jensen kicked off a storyline in NXT in which he was essentially kicked out of the WWE Performance Center for taking issue with how he was being used.
The storyline mostly played out on social media for a while but recently made its way to TV, and he had an ‘official’ return last week in a meeting with General Manager Ava.

Jensen was apologetic in the meeting, but his sincerity was short-lived as he attacked Je’Von Evans backstage shortly after.
That resulted in a match between Jensen and Evans tonight, which was Jensen’s first since his loss to Oba Femi on March 12.

Josh Briggs, Jensen’s former tag partner who had put in a good word for him to be forgiven, accompanied Jensen at ringside for the match.
Shawn Spears also came out to ringside during the match, which caused Jensen to be distracted and allowed Evans to pick up the win.
After the match, Jensen tried to attack Evans again, but was pulled away by Briggs, who shouted “it’s my job on the line”.
