Jey Uso has weighed in on the much-rumored potential WrestleMania main event match between The Rock and Roman Reigns.
With less than a week until the Royal Rumble, WWE fans everywhere are hoping for some clarity on who will be stepping up the Tribal Chief at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Among the favourites to potentially earn that coveted spot is none other than Dwayne The Rock Johnson, who made his return to WWE on the Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw and teased a dream match with his cousin.
Someone who is of course very familiar with The Bloodline is ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso, who served as Reigns’ right hand man for over three years before splitting on his own last Summer.
Considering his familial ties to both men, many are curious to find out what the Raw star thinks of the match potentially happening in just a few short months time.
Speaking in a recent interview with Sony Sports Network, the multi-time former tag champion was asked his thoughts on the match.
Speaking of past experience of the numbers game in which Reigns can employ, Jey believes Rock would face an “uphill battle” to dethrone the record-breaking champion:
“You know The Rock wanna be The Head of the Table, that’s money, right?
“That’s a match I think we all wanna watch, I wanna watch as a fan too. I just don’t think The Rock knows what he’s getting into.
“When it comes to The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, he’s got The Bloodline behind him. Rock has a big uphill battle man. But yeah, we ready to see that.”
If The Rock does in fact main event WrestleMania 40, many expect it to come at the expense of Cody Rhodes, who had previously been believed by fans to be a favorite to win his second-straight Royal Rumble on January 27.
Cody’s older brother Dustin Rhodes recently shared his own thoughts on the WrestleMania main event situation, professing that he’d be “pissed” if his brother’s spot was lost to The Rock.
