Cody Rhodes has made his first comment after choosing to challenge Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
Rhodes made the decision at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event today (February 8), and while there are still plenty of questions to be answered, one thing is official:
Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
Triple H made the match official, and in response to the announcement, Cody Rhodes simply tweeted:

Roman Reigns attempted to choose The Rock as his WrestleMania opponent, which The Rock was on board with.
However, Cody Rhodes came out and pointed out that this is his decision, not theirs. Rhodes then declared that he was choosing to challenge Reigns.
An argument took place which included both sides – with Rollins backing up Cody – taking shots at each other’s families.
The Rock especially got mad about this, and even shouted at Triple H to “fix” things and not allow that to happen, using his position on the TKO Board to act at Triple H’s superior.
Triple H then officially announced that it will be Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania – but the question is where The Rock and Seth Rollins fit in.
The direction seems to be a tag team match on one night, with the Cody vs Roman singles match on the other – but that’s not official. Only Cody vs Roman is official right now.
We’ll continue to provide any further clarifications and updates as they emerge.
