Following the finish to the main event of Raw, a new report has revealed an update on a potential change to WWE SummerSlam.

On the July 15 edition of Monday Night Raw, Ilja Dragunov defeated Sami Zayn via disqualification in a WWE Intercontinental Championship match due to outside interference from Bron Breakker. Despite Zayn fighting back against Breakker, Bron stood tall over both babyfaces to end the episode.
Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio provided an update, noting that WWE’s current plan is reportedly still to have Sami Zayn defend against Bron Breakker in a singles match at SummerSlam.

This is despite Ilja Dragunov recently being involved in the Intercontinental Championship picture and owning DQ wins over both Zayn and Breakker now.
It remains to be seen what Intercontinental Championship match will be made official for SummerSlam at the time of this writing.

Already announced for the premium live event, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa, GUNTHER will challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title and Rhea Ripley will face Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
