Roman Reigns has now reacted to the announcement that he will defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship in a fourway bout at Royal Rumble 2024.
Randy Orton, LA Knight and AJ Styles faced off on the January 5 edition of SmackDown to determine the next challenger for Reigns’ gold.
This match ultimately didn’t have a victor, with Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso attacking all of the competitors, resulting in the match being thrown out.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had the last laugh, giving Paul Heyman the task of informing Reigns that he will be defending his gold against Orton, Knight and Styles at the Royal Rumble premium live event.
While the show went off the air before Heyman could share this news with Reigns, WWE has now shared a digital exclusive video showing Reigns’ initial reaction to the news.
Reigns most recently defended his gold at the November 4, 2023 Crown Jewel premium live event, defeating LA Knight in singles action.
