Former Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER of Imperium has reacted to Ilja Dragunov’s WWE King of the Ring exit.
On the May 13 edition of Monday Night Raw, GUNTHER defeated Kofi Kingston, while Jey Uso beat Ilja Dragunov in the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring tournament.
This sets up GUNTHER vs. Jey Uso in the WWE King of the Ring Tournament Semifinals on the May 20 episode of WWE Raw.
Earlier in the show, “The Ring General” confronted Dragunov backstage to tease a potential showdown between the NXT rivals.
On May 14, GUNTHER took to social media to post a photo of himself and Ilja Dragunov from last night’s show to comment on his exit. He wrote:

Over on the SmackDown side, Randy Orton will face Carmelo Hayes and Tama Tonga will do battle with LA Knight in the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring on the May 17 episode.
