AEW’s reigning TNT Champion Christian Cage has made a bold claim following a big win on this week’s Dynamite (January 17).
In a match between two well-travelled veterans, Christian Cage defended his TNT Championship in this week’s Dynamite opener against ‘The Natural’ Dustin Rhodes.
Riding some solid momentum in recent weeks, Rhodes came agonisingly close to pulling off a major upset only a few weeks into the new year, but ultimately fell short to the Patriarch of AEW.
Now, in reaction to once again retaining his beloved title, Cage has posted an analysis of where he believes he’s currently at in comparison with his peers in the locker room.

Despite his wealth of confidence, Cage has yet to meet one-on-one again with the man who defeated him at AEW Worlds End to capture the TNT Championship: Adam Copeland.
However, despite spending recent weeks competing in open challenges on Collision, Copeland has made clear that he still has his sights set on removing the title from his former partner’s possession.
With Copeland not appearing on Dynamite however, it’s currently unclear when this rematch will come to pass.
