AEW has released unseen footage from the fallout of Mariah May and Toni Storm’s closing angle from AEW Dynamite.
Last night’s Dynamite show featured an incredible closing angle that got the fans talking, when Mariah May defeated Willow Nightingale in the main event to win the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
However, it was the fallout that got the fans talking, when Mariah laid out Toni with the Owen Hart Championship belt, before bloodying her up with her own heel.
The angle was incredibly well received by fans, and AEW has now released unseen fallout footage from the angle.
The footage shows Mariah arrive backstage after the attack, not saying a word as she smirks at the camera, before a bloody Toni Storm is escorted to the back, before collapsing.
Mariah’s victory in the tournament confirms her a match against Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium next month.
