Backstage at tonight’s August 7 AEW Dynamite, a professional wrestling legend was spotted with AEW CEO Tony Khan.
Taking to social media to share a snap with a true legend, Tony Khan posted from backstage at tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Tony Khan wrote:

He also shared a photo with David Crockett which you can see below.
Crockett is the son of famed wrestling promoter Jim Crockett of Crockett Promotions, an often-cited inspiration to Khan.
David Crockett had his own substantial career in wrestling, serving as a commentary partner to Tony Schiavone in the NWA and WCW.
Throughout the day, Tony Khan has documented some big travel issues for AEW stars tonight, seemingly leading to some plans potentially having to be changed.
All the matches that were previously announced are still planned to go ahead.
That includes the main event featuring legends in their own rights, as Jeff Jarrett will face Bryan Danielson with Ricky Steamboat present as the special enforcer.
The opening match for tonight’s AEW Dynamite showcased Kyle Fletcher in an American Championship eliminator match against MJF.
MJF has renamed the International Championship the ‘American Championship’, however is set to defend the title against Fletcher’s close friend Will Ospreay at AEW All In London.
MJF picked up the win against Fletcher tonight.
