There were plenty of surprises on tonight’s AEW Dynamite during the Gauntlet match that closed the show for a big title shot.

The winner of the sudden death gauntlet match would have to not only overcome ‘random men’ appearing at ‘random times’ to join the match, but the opponents were seemingly coming from literally everywhere.
There were appearances from NJPW stars Lio Rush and Shota Umino, as well as recognizable CMLL names Hechicero and Mistico.

However in the end it was actually a current AEW champion who would end up winning the whole match.
Fighting off other AEW stars Jay White, Claudio Castagnoli and PAC in addition to the surprises from other promotions, the AEW International Champion Will Ospreay won the match.

By pinning Orange Cassidy, Will Ospreay secured an AEW World Championship match at Forbidden Door 2024.
After the win, current champion Swerve Strickland came out to have a stare down with Ospreay as the show ended on the pair nose to nose in the ring.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, it was confirmed what the future held for the TNT Championship after it was revealed that Adam Copeland had gotten injured during his match at Double or Nothing 2024 to retain it.
