Jon Moxley says his rivalry with a top AEW star is just getting started.

Since leaving WWE in 2019, Jon Moxley has made his presence known as one of the very best wrestlers in the world across multiple promotions, most notably AEW and NJPW.
In 2022, Moxley faced off with top NJPW star Will Ospreay at NJPW Windy City Riot in a bout with a controversial finish due to Ospreay appearing to kick out before the count of three.
At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, Moxley and Ospreay will face off again, but this time in a three-way match featuring David Finlay for the inaugural IWGP Global Championship.

Speaking with NJPW, Jon Moxley stated that his rivalry with Ospreay is just getting started. He said:
“Well, it’s lucky that referee isn’t here anymore. If he had stayed, he should’ve been fired. Myself and Will Ospreay went to war all over Chicago in 2022.”
“We gave all we had, blood sweat and tears and braincells. At the end of the day I had my hand raised, but I think we all know that Will had a little bit more in the tank.”
“If Will wasn’t done, I wasn’t gonna be done. So, if Will wants to keep it going, if he just wants to call that chapter one, then let’s just say that was chapter one. Just the beginning, just the preamble. Will Ospreay and I have barely even begun,”

At AEW Full Gear 2023, Will Ospreay signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling to start with the promotion in 2024 when he finishes up his NJPW deal.
NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 will not be the only big three-way match for Moxley. The former three-time AEW World Champion will face Jay White and Swerve Strickland in a three-way Gold League Final of the AEW Continental Classic on the December 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
JJA Sport Studio will provide any news and notes from tonight’s show when they become available.
