An update has been provided on absent AEW star CJ Perry’s health following a recovery setback with her infection.
In December, CJ Perry was forced to miss several AEW shows due to an infection, which stemmed from a splinter. She had to get surgery, but was sent home quickly thereafter.
Perry would later have to go back to the hospital due to complications with her recovery where she revealed that MRSA was being drained from her finger every day.
On January 12, Perry stated that her surgeon informed her that she needed a second surgery if she did not see more blood in her infected finger.
On January 14, CJ Perry took to social media to provide another update and thanked everyone for their support.
The former Lana in WWE stated that she had a relapse with a MRSA infection because the antibiotics stopped working.
Perry noted that she had to be rushed to the hospital where the surgeon dug scabs, flesh, pus and skin out of her finger. She also noted that the surgeon put an IV in her hand.
This led to a stinging sensation before Perry’s arm went numb. The surgeon then dug more, and the surgeon started to see more blood, which meant they were in the right direction.
Perry let the fans know that she now visits the surgeon almost every day, so they can reevaluate the wound. She then expressed her gratitude for the antibiotics and thanked everyone for their support.
JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on CJ Perry’s health status when they become available.
