Popular star and former AEW World Tag Team Champion Keith Lee is set to undergo double surgeries after being pulled from AEW Worlds End.

At AEW Worlds End, Swerve Strickland defeated Dustin Rhodes in a singles bout. Rhodes filled in as a replacement for Keith Lee, who was not medically cleared to compete by doctors on the card.
In a post shortly following his removal from the match, Lee wrote:
“1 leg… 2 legs … irrelevant. Ask Cage. I was there. You saw me. Just because Doc pulled me does not make you safe. You may be chosen…. but I’m real. Wherever the next meeting happens, I swear to God you will regret every syllable. … That’s a promise little homie.”

In a post on a private account on social media, Haus of Wrestling reveals Keith Lee has provided an update noting that he will require two surgeries. He wrote:
“Took roughly 19 years…. but I guess it’s my turn. Time to get fixed. Here’s to double surgeries. Certainly one way to start 2024.”

Lee did not provide any timetable for when he will undergo surgeries or any other details regarding his injuries at the time of this writing.
Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland were former AEW World Tag Team Champions before breaking up the “Swerve In Our Glory” duo in December 2022.
The two were embroiled in a rivalry for the months following, but it never resulted in a singles match between the two until the scheduled bout at AEW Worlds End one year later.
JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on Keith Lee’s injury status when they become available.
