AEW President Tony Khan has addressed a claim about him celebrating himself, providing clarification on a previous AEW Dynamite moment.
With AEW still a relatively young promotion compared to the likes of WWE, Tony Khan’s company has celebrated a number of early milestones over the past five years.
One of which was the 200th edition of AEW Dynamite, which took place on August 2, 2023.
An image has been doing the rounds on Twitter showing the AEW Dynamite 200 set with “Thank You Tony Khan” written on the screens, and members of the talent roster standing on the stage.
Tony Khan has now responded to a Twitter user arguing that Tony Khan thanks himself when AEW hits milestones.
Noting that the pictured moment was a surprise from the crew after the show, Khan wrote:
It was a surprise from the crew after the live 200th episode of Dynamite. It was a nice moment and unexpected. I appreciated it very much.
