Former WWE star Shelton Benjamin has now commented on the possibility of him joining AEW following reports that he recently had talks with the company.

With it recently being reported that Benjamin and AEW had conversations as far back as a month ago and discussed the possibility of him appearing for the company, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the former WWE star’s next move.
Speaking on the Monopoly Events YouTube channel, Shelton Benjamin noted that the ball is in AEW’s court.

Teasing an appearance at AEW All In in August, Benjamin said:
“It could be (AEW All In could be on his radar). Again, the ball’s really in their court.
“But like you said, it’s pro wrestling so, you never know what’s gonna happen.”

Benjamin was released by WWE during the September 2023 round of cuts.
News about Benjamin’s AEW talks have already ruffled feathers, with AEW’s Max Caster (seemingly in a joking way) taking to social media to note “We don’t want him”.
