Former WWE star Shane McMahon has allegedly “reached out” to AEW stars about the idea of joining the company.
As previously reported, AEW commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently stated that Shane McMahon appearing in AEW is so crazy that it might work.
McMahon last appeared on WWE programming at WrestleMania 39 where he got injured in a match against The Miz.
To follow up on this statement, Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson on the latest Grilling JR podcast further expanded on that thought with Thompson revealing that Shane McMahon in AEW is not as far fetched as originally believed. Revealing that he received a text from a friend, Thompson said:
“There was a friend of ours. He went out of his way to text me.”
“‘Hey, that’s not as crazy as you think. I know for sure that Shane McMahon has reached out to wrestlers on the AEW roster to at least hypothetically discuss the idea.'”
It remains to be seen if Shane McMahon appearing in All Elite Wrestling could happen or not at the time of this writing.
