In the midst of his absence from the company, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has responded to a challenge from NJPW’s Gabe Kidd.
Kenny Omega has been out of action due to suffering a diverticulitis illness in December 2023. Despite his brief return to AEW programming in May, Omega has remained out of in-ring action since then.
NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd recently called out the former AEW World Champion during the G1 Climax 34 tournament.
On July 30, Kenny Omega took to social media to respond to Gabe Kidd’s apparent challenge. He wrote:

Gabe Kidd currently has a 3-2 record with six points in the A Block of the G1 Climax 34 tournament.
It remains to be seen when Kenny Omega will make his return to All Elite Wrestling at the time of this writing.
