RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Michael Oku has confirmed that he has been in contact with AEW about potential future appearances.

Michael Oku has found himself tied into AEW lore despite not wrestling for the company, with Oku defeating Will Ospreay at a February RevPro show, in Ospreay’s final independent appearance before officially joining AEW.
Oku notably challenged for MJF’s AEW American Championship during Sunday’s (August 11) Summer Sizzler event, ahead of Will Ospreay making a surprise return to chase off MJF following the match, ahead of their bout at All In London.
Ahead of Oku’s match against MJF, Fightful Select indicated that Oku is “suspected” for the Dynamite taping in Cardiff, Wales on August 21, and AEW All In London on August 25.
Speaking with Stephanie Chase, Oku stated that he has had contact with AEW about “what we can potentially do in the future”.

He explained:
“I’m trying to find the right way to answer this. I think that’s the most I can confirm, is that there’s been contact made, which obviously makes sense. I wrestled Will earlier in the year in front of Tony Khan.
“I got to meet Tony Khan and have a conversation with him there at the venue as it happened. This match happens with MJF, they’ve posted my promo on their channels.
“They’re promoting this, so there’s been contact to allow these things to happen with AEW, so there’s been contact of what we can potentially do in the future. I’ll leave it there.”

Describing his ideal scenario for an AEW appearance, Oku said:
“Wembley Stadium. In my head, I was like, it would be cool if I won this title. They have a non-title, they don’t need the title, and I wrestle someone for the title at Wembley Stadium. But I would love to have a step-up from last year.
“It was cool to experience being around all the boys and girls in the back, to do something, to be involved and have some kind of role in the show, but I feel like I’ve made enough of a name of myself in this country that if a big show’s happening in this country and there’s enough of a crossover with the AEW fans, at least the UK fans, that there would be some interest to see me do something, if it’s small, but a wrestling capacity, as Michael Oku, as me the wrestler on the show.
“So hey, there’s a Casino Gauntlet as well. There could be surprises there, and I would be very happy if my music as well plays. That’ll be very cool if my music plays at Wembley Stadium,”
