An update has emerged on the whereabouts of MJF as the former AEW World Champion has been absent from television since All Out.
Back in September, MJF beat Daniel Garcia at AEW All Out, but was attacked by Garcia after the match to write him off TV with news shared that he was working on a film project.
However there are now more details known about MJF’s absence amid the update from this week’s Dynamite that Garcia was remaining in AEW.
Per a report from Fightful Select, MJF was off of television throughout the month of September as he was away filming for “a significant role” in the upcoming Adam Sandler film, ‘Happy Gilmore 2’.
Also reportedly set to feature in the film, more familiar celebrity faces with roles also noted for Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny.
While MJF’s filming reportedly remains in progress, there was also an update on when fans may expect to see him back in AEW.
According to the report, MJF is expected back in AEW “sooner rather than later” however no exact date was revealed.
