A big title change that took place at last night’s AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view was said to have been planned for ‘a number of weeks’.

Three championship changes took place on last night’s show, including Jon Moxley winning the AEW World Championship from Bryan Danielson in the show’s main event.
The other big title change on the show’s main card came in the AEW International Championship match, when Konosuke Takeshita was victorious in a three-way against Will Ospreay and Ricochet.

The finish came after Kyle Fletcher nailed Ospreay in the back of the head with a screwdriver, betraying his friend and aligning with the Don Callis Family.
Takeshita entered the International Championship picture back at Dynamite’s fifth anniversary show, when he caused a no contest in Ricochet and Will Ospreay’s championship bout.

Prior to the attack, Takeshita had been teasing a match with Kazuchika Okada for the Continental Championship, but that was seemingly never the plan.
Per Fightful Select, Takeshita’s title win at WrestleDream has been planned for a ‘number of weeks’.
The title marks Takeshita’s first championship victory in AEW.
