There were reportedly some in AEW pushing for a shocking title change to take place at last night’s WrestleDream show.

Last night’s AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view saw a number of title changes, which included Jon Moxley defeating Bryan Danielson to capture the AEW World Championship.
The show also saw a number of championship retentions, including the Young Bucks retaining their AEW World Tag Team Championship against Private Party.

Private Party had a video air before their entrance featuring their trainer Amazing Red.
The Young Bucks also cut a promo before the match, where Matthew Jackson recalled Private Party defeating them on the second episode of Dynamite, noting that they haven’t achieved much since that victory.

Private Party came close, but the Bucks ultimately picked up the win, though Private Party got a standing ovation after the match.
In an update from Fightful Select, there were some people in the company that pushed for Private Party to win the championship this week.
Konosuke Takeshita’s AEW International Championship victory was reportedly planned for ‘a number of weeks’.
