There has been an update on Will Ospreay’s status for next week’s AEW Dynamite show following his defeat at WrestleDream.

Ospreay’s second reign as the AEW International Champion came to an end last night, when Konosuke Takeshita scored the victory in a three-way match also featuring Ricochet.
Ospreay had the match won until he was struck from behind by Kyle Fletcher with a screwdriver, turning on Ospreay and aligning with Don Callis.

After the match, Fletcher attacked Ospreay, laying him out with the Tiger Driver 97 move that Ospreay had used to defeat MJF for the title back at All In.
The move has been the center of a key story with Ospreay over the past few months, with him injuring Bryan Danielson with the move during their match back at AEW Dynasty.

In an update on the attack from Fightful Select, Ospreay is not scheduled to appear on this week’s Dynamite show, selling the injuries from the angle at WrestleDream.
The Don Callis Family recently also added Lance Archer to it’s ranks, trading his services with Jake Roberts, who took leadership over LFI.
Takeshita’s International Championship victory was reportedly said to have been planned for a ‘number of weeks’.
