A WWE Hall of Famer has explained why he believes bringing the six-sided ring back would be good for TNA Wrestling.
After a memorable and successful seven-year stint with WWE, Kurt Angle made his way over to TNA Wrestling as one of the biggest signings in company history.
Angle went on to have an even longer and widely regarded run where he won the TNA Heavyweight Championship six times and became a Hall of Famer for the promotion as well.
With the rebranding of IMPACT Wrestling to TNA starting at Hard To Kill, many want to know what The Olympic Gold Medalist thinks about their return to the former moniker.
On the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle explained why he believes it would be a good idea for TNA Wrestling to bring back the six-sided ring. He said:
“I think it’s a great idea. I’ll tell you this, the six-sided ring is a lot faster.”
“Guys are coming off the ropes quicker because it’s a smaller ring. I think that’s why TNA, it’s really action-packed because there’s not a lot of dead time.”
“Okay, when you’re in there, you bounce off the ropes, one step, one-and-a-half steps, and you’re going to step into the opponent that’s going to end up throwing you.”
“The ring is a lot smaller when it’s six sides than when it’s four sides.”
TNA Hard To Kill is this coming Saturday, January 13 from Las Vegas. The show will be headlined by Alex Shelley defending the TNA Heavyweight Championship against Moose.
