On the latest airing of TNA Wrestling, there was another WWE crossover appearance which earned the star an appearance in an Ultimate X match.
Another WWE NXT star has made an appearance in TNA Wrestling as an episode of TNA Impact aired tonight, August 15.
Riley Osborne from the NXT faction Chase U was able to defeat Chris Bey and John Skyler to win an Ultimate X Qualifying match on the show.
The unique match type will make its return at the upcoming TNA Wrestling Emergence event on Friday, August 30.
The match features two cables elevated above the ring, stretched from corner to corner, forming an X shape – the goal is to climb along the cables and retrieve an object hanging from the center, which in this case is the X-Division Championship.
With a series of qualifying matches taking place on TNA Impact, current champion Speedball Mike Bailey and Zachary Wentz have already qualified with two more vacancies for the match remaining.
Osborne’s qualifying win was filmed earlier this month on August 2, before Chase U had captured tag team gold in NXT
On the latest episode of NXT on August 13, Chase U, represented by Andre Chase and Ridge Holland, were able to beat Nathan Frazer and Axiom to become the newest NXT Tag Team Champions.
Riley Osborne along with other Chase U stars Duke Hudson and Thea Hail joined the pair in the ring to celebrate the victory to close the show.
