WWE star Drew McIntyre has stated that his wife won’t be at Clash at the Castle this weekend due to needing emergency surgery.
With McIntyre set to headline Saturday’s June 15 premium live event in his home country, the Scottish Warrior will be surrounded by his friends and family.
One person who won’t be in the arena will be McIntyre’s wife, with McIntyre revealing as such this during Friday’s Clash at the Castle Kickoff event.
Noting that he promised to bring gold back for her, McIntyre said:
“I wasn’t going to talk about it but I can’t stop thinking about it, the one person who’s not going to be there is my wife, who’s in surgery right now, emergency surgery.
“She told me ‘I want you to go there and bring that title home’. And I’m going to bring that title home.”
Drew McIntyre is slated to challenge for Damian Priest’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship at this weekend’s premium live event.
Priest won the title from McIntyre at WrestleMania 40 after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, just five minutes after McIntyre won the gold from Seth Rollins.
