It has now been confirmed that former Raw and SmackDown announcer Kevin Patrick, real name Kevin Egan, has been released by WWE.
News emerged earlier this week that Patrick had been removed from his role as SmackDown announcer, but it was unknown whether he’d stay with the company in a different role.
It appears not, as PWInsider reports that he has been released.
Prior to his role as announcer, he’d worked as a backstage interviewer.
He was with WWE from March 2021 to January 2024.

Raw announcer Michael Cole will be filling Patrick’s spot alongside Corey Graves for this week’s SmackDown at least, as Cole was already travelling to Florida to call the Royal Rumble the following night.
Patrick has yet to comment on his departure.
We’ll continue to provide updates as they become available.
