Following an injury suffered at the debut Marigold show, top WWE signing Giulia is set to be out of in-ring action “indefinitely.”

At NXT Stand & Deliver 2024, former World of Stardom Champion Giulia made an appearance in the front row to indicate that she had signed with WWE.
On May 20, Giulia competed on the first show for the brand new promotion, Marigold. The following day, it was announced that the former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion suffered a fractured wrist and would be out indefinitely.
Fightful Select provided an update, noting that WWE remain hopeful that Giulia will be healed in time for her planned debut at NXT Heatwave in July.
After it was previously reported that the belief within NXT was that the former STARDOM talent would be in a title match against Roxanne Perez at the Heatwave event, it was noted that these plans are not set in stone and could change due to Giulia’s Marigold obligations or the injury.

The report notes that Giulia will remain available to use with the Marigold promotion following her start on the NXT brand.
Giulia has been booked for the next Marigold event entitled, “Summer Destiny” on July 13. Sources in Japan indicate that she will face Sareee on the show and should not impact her appearing in WWE before then.
The report also notes that Giulia is expected to lead the next class of talent to report to the WWE Performance Center, which is also expected to include names from the recent Australian tryouts.

The former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion was reportedly signed “for who she is” and there are currently no plans to fix what isn’t broken.
It remains to be seen how long Giulia’s injury will keep her out of action at the time of this writing.
JJA Sport Studio will provide any further updates on Giulia’s injury status when they become available.
