New WWE signing shares surgery update ahead of debut matchWWE signee Giulia has provided an update on her condition following confirmation that she had been admitted to hospital for wrist surgery.
As was previously reported, Giulia is expected to make her WWE debut after helping to establish Rossy Ogawa’s new promotion, Marigold Joshi. She briefly appeared for WWE at the April 6 NXT Stand & Deliver event.
Following the inaugural Marigold event, the promotion announced that Giulia had suffered a wrist injury, leading to uncertainty about her immediate in-ring future.
A recent article from Tokyo Sports revealed that Giulia was admitted to hospital on Monday (May 27) ahead of her surgery, which was expected to be taking place on Tuesday (May 28).
Giulia revealed that she’s expecting to spend four days at the hospital, telling Tokyo Sports:
“Right now I’m not too worried. I’ll be away from home for three nights and four days, so it’s like going on a trip to the countryside.
“I won’t be able to move around, so I’ll spend my time watching movies for the first time in a while and watching various wrestling videos.”
Giulia has now taken to Twitter with a photo of herself in a hospital bed, with her arm in a sling and her wrist bandaged up.
The former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion captioned the photo:
