WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan has commented on Becky Lynch’s WWE exit, claiming to have retired the former champion.
In a move which surprised many, Becky Lynch’s WWE contract to expire on June 1 to officially become a free agent.
The situation surprised many, as she was the WWE Women’s World Champion up until her penultimate match with the company.
The Man notably dropped the Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan at the King & Queen of the Ring premium live event, before unsuccessfully challenging for Morgan’s gold in a steel cage match on the May 27 Raw episode.
Amid uncertainty surrounding Becky Lynch’s wrestling future, the USA Network Twitter account has celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Lynch’s NXT debut, noting:

Liv Morgan shared a short reply to this post, writing:

The belief is that even though Lynch’s contract did legitimately expire, she is on a “hiatus” and is expected to return to WWE.
