The July 5 episode of WWE SmackDown saw Kevin Owens reveal the promise he had made to his mother about The Bloodline.
Standing in the ring with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes in Toronto, Canada, Owens recounted the previous four days, as can be seen below this news story.
He would reveal that the week started with a call from his father on the Monday morning to inform him that his mother was rushed to hospital.
Owens said he rushed back to Quebec and has been with his mother since in the same hospital where he was born.
With both his father and brother at her bedside, Owens said she has been fighting like hell.
Owens went on to explain that while he could have stayed away from WWE while his mother was in hospital, he was there because of her.
With a ‘fight like hell’ attitude imbued in him by his own mother, he said his mother would be “so pissed” if he missed a show because of her.
The ‘fight like hell’ attitude is something that Kevin Owens’ mother clearly shares, as he has now provided a medical update on her condition.
Owens shared the update on Twitter, posting that:

The post is accompanied by a photo of his mother in a hospital bed, smiling and holding her son’s ‘Just Keep Fighting’ T-shirt.
Support and love would be shared from across the wrestling world, with Michin, Nyla Rose and Matt Hardy among those sending replies.
Owens teamed with Rhodes and Orton to take on The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga) at WWE Money in the Bank on July 6, where The Bloodline picked up the win.
