A current WWE star whose contract is set to expire showed up at an independent event tonight and confirmed their upcoming departure.
It was recently reported that WWE star MVP had been removed from the company’s internal roster, with him expected to leave the company upon the expiration of his deal.
MVP’s deal has not yet expired, but he has wasted no time getting himself booked outside the company, and has confirmed his upcoming departure from the company.
Appearing in the ring at tonight’s Bloodsport event, MVP confronted Josh Barnett, confirming that he’s ‘not going back’ to WWE, and challenged Barnett to a match at the next Bloodsport event.
He said:
“My contract with a company who I won’t mention right now is about to expire, and I’m not going back Josh. I’m not ready to retire yet!”
MVP’s former managerial client Bobby Lashley was also recently removed from the company’s internal roster, with him potentially also departing the company upon the expiration of his deal.
It was reported that Lashley was offered a contract extension with the company, but he has not signed it as of now.
What is @The305MVP doing at #JBBSXI?
