Bryan Danielson ‘ignored’ an injury that he suffered in AEW, only getting it looked at when his nose went numb according to his wife Brie Garcia.

Danielson is set to make his in-ring return during the AEW Continental Classic tournament, having suffered a broken orbital bone in October 2023.
During an interview with ESPN reporter Marc Raimondi, Danielson’s wife, the former Brie Bella, revealed that he had been ignoring the injury, saying:

“He’s made of steel. I know it’s crazy. It’s just one of those things that’s unfortunate for pro-wrestlers.
“You know, our body ages, but mentally we don’t and I think his body is just like ‘I think it’s time to hang up the boots’.
“But, you know, he’s so strong, nothing holds him back.
“Even when he got the two broken bones in his orbital bone, he was dealing with the pain and was like ‘I’m fine’ until his nose went numb and everything else.
“So, they’re like, you need to get X-rays but Bryan is so tough, you’ll see him back sooner than later, that’s for sure.”'

Danielson suffered a broken arm during his match with Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in June 2023.
He would return from that injury at AEW All Out with Ricky Starks describing their strap match as “chaotic“.
The Continental Classic tournament has started, but it seems Danielson’s return isn’t coming just yet as he isn’t on the lineup for Blue League matches on Collision this weekend.
