AEW star Satnam Singh has addressed his in-ring absence, stating that he has been talking with Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt about ‘figuring out the story’.
While Singh has found good allies in Jarrett, Lethal and Dutt, he hasn’t wrestled on AEW TV for some time.
Satnam Singh last wrestled on the All Out Zero Hour pre-show in September, teaming with Lethal and Jarrett to unsuccessfully challenge for The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn’s Trios Championship.
Speaking with Sportskeeda, Singh confirmed that he’s currently taking a break, noting that he’ll get back on the road after he leaves India.
Noting that they’re trying to figure out their next moves, Singh said:
“We have to try to figure out the story. There are so many wrestlers over there right now. It’s almost like over 300 wrestlers, so we try to put everything together.
“We have like four shows in a week. Wednesday, we have Dynamite, Rampage, then we have Saturdays, Collision, (ROH). So we have a lot of shows going on.
“So I talk to Sonjay and I talk to Jeff Jarrett and also Jay Lethal, so what’s the story? What’s going on? So I think when I come back from India to here, we are going to start back on the road…now we are talking (a) break.”
Singh has wrestled 20 matches since signing with AEW in September 2021.
He has only wrestled several bouts as a singles competitor, most recently winning a four on one handicap match at the February 11 WrestlePro Violencetines Day show.
