A top AEW star has been removed from the company’s official roster page following a significant loss at the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30.

With AEW World Champion MJF seeing his entire world collapse on Saturday night, reports suggested that the 27-year-old had been granted time off in the new year in order to heal up from injuries sustained in recent months.
However, in a new twist that will fuel existing speculation surrounding MJF’s future in AEW, the former champion has now also been officially removed from the AEW roster page as well (see below).

Much has been made of MJF’s future in the company past 2023, with the Long Island native constantly referencing the ‘bidding war of 2024’ and his contract with the company being up on January 1.
Reportedly some in WWE believe that MJF has indeed already re-signed with the company, perhaps as long ago as Full Gear 2022.

However, MJF himself has consistently re-affirmed that he has not agreed a new deal; doing so again in a post prior to Worlds End.
Some fans are of the belief that following his loss to Samoa Joe and betrayal at the hands of former best friend Adam Cole, removing MJF from the roster page has been done to cast further doubt on his future, before an eventual return at some point in the coming year.
Whatever the case, make sure to stay locked to JJA Sport Studio for any and all future updates as they become available.
