After tonight’s June 26 AEW Dynamite, it seems as though the return date of Hangman Adam Page may have been revealed.
In a segment on AEW Dynamite, the Young Bucks revealed that the ‘Wild Card’ entrant in the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament was hand selected by themselves.
Noting that their Wild Card would not only enter the tournament but win and bring the Cup back to the Elite, it seemed relatively easy to piece together who it might be.
After having been out of action since Revolution 2024, there have been recent rumblings regarding an impending return for Hangman Adam Page.
Fightful reported recently that Page could be returning around early July, which lines up with the July 3 date where the ‘Wild Card’ will face Jeff Jarrett.
Also worth noting is that the match between Jarrett and whoever the ‘Wild Card’ is will take place in Chicago, the hometown of CM Punk, who Page – seemingly returning as a heel if he’s going to be connected with The Elite – had well documented issues with during his time in AEW.
To be clear, there’s been no official confirmation yet that Page will be returning as the ‘Wild Card’, but it’s definitely a widely held belief that things are lining up for that to be the case.
Elsewhere already announced for Dynamite next week, a women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament semi-final in Kris Statlander vs former friend Willow Nightingale.
Also, Will Ospreay has offered to defend his AEW International Championship against Daniel Garcia, and perhaps another title too.
Should Ospreay beat Swerve Strickland at this Sunday’s AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, he offered to put both titles on the line on Dynamite against Garcia.
