An AEW star has captured gold in another company at an event tonight, July 13, after the championship was vacated by a new WWE signing.

Tonight at Fantasticamania USA, a new CMLL World Women’s Champion was crowned after a three-way match featuring Lluvia (CMLL) vs. Viva Van (NJPW) vs. Willow Nightingale (AEW).
The title was vacated by the departing Stephanie Vaquer who left CMLL and NJPW to sign with WWE earlier in the week.
She is expected to appear in Mexico City, Mexico at a WWE live event tonight.

In the end, Nightingale picked up the victory in the aforementioned three-way and became the new CMLL World Women’s Champion.
She captured pinfall victory over Viva Van.
Becoming the first American to win the CMLL World Women’s Title, Willow adds to her legacy that includes being TBS Champion in AEW as well as NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.

Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, Kris Statlander commented on her recent interference during Willow’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament final against Mariah May.
Statlander summed it up simply – Stokely Hathaway is a hater and she is petty and they just didn’t want Willow to win.
