AEW American Champion MJF and NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd have traded insults as they both tease a match.
With Kidd taking shots at MJF on social media, they’ve now both shared their opinion verbally with the AEW American Champion also taking a pop at the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty show.
Speaking to the Casual Conversation podcast recently, MJF stated:
“So I’ve never been to Japan. If I do go to Japan, it’s gonna be because my boss is gonna force me to do that indie show on January 5th. I think they’re calling it something Dynasty, I can’t remember the name.
“There was this little chubby kid. I think his name…is it Gabe Cod? Gabe Kidd, he was talking smack so who knows? Maybe that’ll go down at some point.”
Following night four of the G1 Climax, which saw Gabe Kidd team with Jake Lee, beating TMDK (Kosei Fujita & Zack Sabre Jr), the NJPW Strong Openweight Champion shared his own thoughts about MJF, saying:
“Let’s talk about you, MJF. You want to come for me? Granted, I sent the shots first, don’t get me wrong, bang bang. But listen here you little f**king rat. This is how it’s going to go down. You can say all you want, you can call me short, the reality is it don’t matter what you said because you have AEW tattooed on you, you f**king loser.
“Are you mad? You think you can touch me in the ring? You think you can really come against me? January 5, Tokyo Dome, Wrestle Dynasty. You want to call them shots? No. Because if we’re gonna do this s**t Maxwell, we’re gonna do it on my f**king terms.
“You’re not gonna come here and walk onto my turf and try to challenge me, are you mad? Nobody knows who you are in Japan, you little nerd. You f**king nerd, nobody has a clue who you are.
“What’s gonna happen is this — I’m gonna walk into your turf, I’m gonna walk into your domain where you’re ever so comfortable and I’m gonna expose you.
“I’m gonna kill you on the mic, kill you in the ring, kill you in every f**king aspect of this game because you Max, you know that I am better than you and you know it and everyone else knows it.
“So let’s stop denying the world of what they really want, let’s give them MJF vs Gabe Kidd in America you b**ch. You want a title, come and f**king take it.”
Kidd made his AEW debut on the June 20 episode of AEW Rampage, teaming with Roderick Strong to defeat The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean).
Wrestle Dynasty takes place on January 5, 2025, at the Tokyo Dome and is a show co-produced by AEW, NJPW, Stardom and CMLL.
