An apparent new AEW tag team teamed up for the first time after an injury forced a change in plans for a new champion.

It was confirmed on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision that Shane Taylor was injured after ROH Death Before Dishonor, meaning there was a new tag team combination on the show.
Brian Cage would team up with the new ROH Pure Wrestling Champion Lee Moriarty on tonight’s July 27 Collision.
Moriarty is a member of Shane Taylor promotions along with Anthony Ogogo, and of course, Taylor himself.

Cage was described as “hired muscle” as Taylor did accompany Cage and Moriarty at ringside for the match.
There weren’t any further details revealed regarding Shane Taylor’s injury but you can see the clip below for the mention.
The new pair would go on to compete in a three-team match also featuring Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) and the winning team, the Blackpool Combat Club’s Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli.

Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Collision, the recently debuted star Hologram had his second match with Tony Schiavone on commentary noting how impressive it was that fans in Esports Stadium Arlington were already chanting his name.
In the end, Hologram would pick up the win.
