AEW President Tony Khan has addressed current AEW World Champion MJF relinquishing the ROH World Tag Team Titles.

At AEW All In London, MJF and Adam Cole, better known as Better Than You Bay Bay, defeated Aussie Open to become the ROH World Tag Team Champions. However, Cole suffered a serious ankle injury in September 2023 that has kept him out of action since.
MJF has continued to defend the titles without his partner. First, Maxwell Jacob Friedman beat The Righteous in a handicap match at All Out, and then enlisted the help of Samoa Joe to defeat The Gunns at AEW Full Gear 2023.

However, it seems MJF’s luck has run out following news of his torn labrum and hip injuries as well as his impending AEW World Title defense at AEW Worlds End.
During today’s ROH Final Battle media call, Tony Khan was asked about the possibility of MJF vacating the ROH World Tag Team Titles with Cole out injured by Bleacher Report’s Doc Chris Mueller.

Khan didn’t give any indication that he intended on stripping Better Than You Bay Bay of the gold or if there would even be a ROH World Tag Team Title match on the pay-per-view.
MJF will defend the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe on Saturday, December 30 at AEW Worlds End.
