A top WWE star is reportedly slated to make their return to the company next week.
Former WWE Champion AJ Styles has been off television since the September 22 episode of SmackDown, where he shot an injury angle at the hands of the Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
AJ was slated to team with John Cena against Jimmy and Solo at Fastlane, with LA Knight eventually filling in for Styles in the match.
In an update from PWInsider, Styles is seemingly set to make his imminent return to the company, with his return slated for next week’s SmackDown show in Columbus, Ohio.
Following his return, he is set to be back on the road regularly going forward.
Styles was seemingly set up to be a future challenger for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship following Crown Jewel.
However, it was recently reported that Reigns is not set to be at Survivor Series in Chicago later this month, with his next defence expected for the Royal Rumble.
Styles may not be the only name making their return this week, as there has been a potential spoiler on a former WWE star rumoured to make their return at tomorrow’s Crown Jewel show.
