WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has revealed that he’s set to undergo surgery for his neck in the new year.

The former WWE Champion has had a number of procedures since stepping away from the ring, and is now set to have artificial disc replacements in his neck.
Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle explained that his motor skills have deteriorated and that he has lost muscle in recent years.

Hopeful that he will have better circulation following his upcoming procedure, Angle explained:
“Just so you know, I’m having neck surgery (at the) beginning of next year. They’re going to put in artificial disc replacements and it’s going to help (his hands).
“I can’t really grab things and things always slip out of my hands and fall. I have horrible motor skills.
“My arms, they actually atrophied three inches each, and I don’t have any muscle (between his thumb and finger), this is completely flat. They’re supposed to be muscle in there but it deteriorated. Atrophied.
“So when I get these rubber discs or disc replacements, they’re going to open up the nerves so they can go down my arm so I can have better circulation.”

Kurt Angle explained that the recovery time following his surgery will be two weeks.
Angle hasn’t wrestled since losing to Baron Corbin in his retirement match at WrestleMania 35 in April 2019.
