WWE NXT North American Champion has now passed an impressive WWE milestone right before the end of 2023.
Because Dominik Mysterio is currently one of WWE’s hottest heel acts, many people forget that ‘Dirty’ Dom only wrestled his first WWE match in August 2020.
Dominik Mysterio has definitely been putting in the hours this year, as per his match listings on Cagematch, the young star has now wrestled 100 matches in 2023.
For comparison, Cody Rhodes has only wrestled two more matches than Mysterio this year, with 102 to his name for 2023.
Mysterio hit the 100 match milestone before WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, whose title defence against Jey Uso on Monday’s (December 4) edition of Raw was his 96th match of the year.
Mysterio’s first match of the year saw him represent the Judgment Day in the Tag Team Turmoil match on the January 9 edition of WWE Raw.
since then, Mysterio has competed in 99 more matches across Raw, SmackDown, NXT and WWE house shows.
Some of Dominik’s most significant bouts of the year saw him win the North American Championship on two occasions, first from Wes Lee in July, then again from Trick Williams in September.
Dominik also had his first WrestleMania singles match at WrestleMania 39, losing to his father Rey Mysterio in a highly anticipated clash.
His 100th match of the year saw him and JD McDonagh lose to the Creed Brothers on Monday’s (December 4) edition of Raw.
