Popular WWE star Jey Uso has endorsed Monday Night Raw signing former WWE world champion CM Punk on next week’s show.
The wrestling world is still buzzing from the shocking WWE return of CM Punk in front of his hometown of Chicago at WWE Survivor Series 2023.
On the December 4 edition of WWE Raw, Michael Cole noted on commentary that Punk is officially a “free agent,” meaning he can appear on any show in the company.Later in the show, Raw GM Adam Pearce let World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins know that he intended on signing Punk next Monday.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Jey Uso was asked about Raw potentially signing CM Punk. He replied:
“Man, sign CM Punk. Like why wouldn’t we sign CM Punk? I know he got a whole bunch of haters or whatever.
“Ay Uce, if we gonna be honest, let’s. He’s a superstar, first and foremost.
“Uh, people talk about him and if it ain’t got anything to do with wrestling, his name is in it. He’s like on some ‘Tribal Chief’ (Roman Reigns) status.
“He’s top guy regardless of whatever’s going on, so my invitation is open man. Bring him.
“Like, let’s go, let’s run it bro. I’ll be your first one to run with ya. Like, it’s all good, it’s all love. Let’s go, let’s run, but welcome back CM Punk.”
CM Punk will make his first appearance on WWE SmackDown in nine years on this Friday’s December 8 Tribute To The Troops episode.
