There has been an update on which brand Naomi is set to be a part of following her WWE return at the Royal Rumble.
Naomi made her return to WWE in the women’s Royal Rumble match, where she entered at number two, starting the bout against Natalya.
Naomi wrestled her last match for TNA at the company’s most recent tapings in Orlando just a week prior to the Royal Rumble, and we now have an update on her status in the company going forward.
Per Fightful Select, Naomi is expected to appear on the SmackDown brand following her return.
Naomi, who had been working in TNA under her real name Trinity, was said to have been open with other talent that she was returning to WWE, likely appearing at the Royal Rumble.
Those within TNA were said to believe that things were pretty clear by the start of the year that Naomi would be wrapping up, with WWE said to have maintained interest on bringing her back for over a year, until the start of the unofficial hiring freeze last year.
By the time the hiring freeze was over, Naomi had obligations to TNA.
There has also been an update on another WWE star who returned at the Royal Rumble, Andrade, which you can see here.
