Former champion wrestles first WWE match in over a year

A notable star wrestled their first WWE match in over a year during Thursday’s (July 25) WWE live event in Osaka, Japan.

Ahead of WWE’s brief house show tour in Japan, it was revealed that Meiko Satomura would be at the event.
The former NXT UK Champion hadn’t wrestled for the company since the March 2023 NXT Roadblock event, when she unsuccessfully challenged for Roxanne Perez’ NXT Women’s Championship.
Satomura made her WWE in-ring return at this week’s house show in WWE Osaka, teaming with Bayley, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill to defeat Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Kairi Sane & Tiffany Stratton.
