A WWE star who is set to retire soon has reacted to their recent championship match against a top WWE star.
Former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura recently announced her upcoming retirement from wrestling, set to take place in April 2025 on her 30th wrestling anniversary.
Satomura was a part of WWE’s tour of Japan that took place over the past weekend, where she teamed with Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Bayley to defeat Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton.
At today’s WWE live event in Tokyo, Japan however, Meiko challenged WWE Women’s Champion Bayley to a match for her title.
Bayley was victorious in the match, and her and Meiko have since shared their respect on social media following the bout.
Taking to Twitter, Meiko shared a photo of the two in the ring together, saying:
Thank you @itsBayleyWWE
