New footage has emerged of CM Punk training for his in-ring return at WWE SummerSlam after recently being cleared to compete.
CM Punk has not competed since the 2024 Royal Rumble match back in January, where he suffered a torn tricep injury following a Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyre.
Over the course of their feud, Punk has not been cleared to compete, with him officially announcing that he was cleared on this week’s episode of Raw.
Punk and Drew are officially set for their first match at SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins set to serve as the Special Guest Referee, and Punk has been training for his upcoming return.
In the footage shared by WRKD Wrestling seen below, Punk is back in the ring following his injury.
SummerSlam is set to take place next Saturday in Cleveland, Ohio, and will be headlined by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending his title against Solo Sikoa.
Seth Rollins is set to deliver his ‘referee instructions’ on next week’s episode of Raw ahead of the match at SummerSlam.
