After her announcement of leaving Japan, recent WWE signing Giulia has discussed wanting to “start a revolution” in the company.

On the July 30 Marigold Korakuen Hall event, former World of Stardom Champion Giulia announced her last match for the promotion will be the August 19 Korakuen Hall show, which you can read here.
Following that bout, the former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion will be heading to the United States to start her WWE career on the NXT brand.

In a new interview with Tokyo Sports, Giulia discussed her leaving Japan for the WWE and what she wants to achieve. She said:
“It’s a decision I’ve agonized over for a long time, so now I have an unwavering resolve. I want to do something that no one has done before, so I’ll definitely become big over there and start a revolution.”

During WWE’s recent tour of Japan, Giulia was in attendance to observe the shows. On having a new goal after seeing WWE live in Japan, she said:
“The scale was different. But I wondered why the Japanese wrestling world can’t fill the venues when they hold events like that.”
“I’m sure that the fans who were at that venue (for WWE’s Japan tour) are in Japan now. In order to attract those people, I’m now at a point where I need to tackle more specific issues and make improvements.”
“But right now I’m still too small to get my opinions across, so I’ll absorb all sorts of things over there and definitely make the world excited. And I’ll make Japanese women’s professional wrestling, which I love, big.”

Giulia will face her former Donna Del Mondo stablemate in STARDOM, Mai Sakurai in her final match for Marigold in Japan. On what this match means to her, she said:
“It’s only been seven years since I debuted, but I’ve fought many strong opponents during that time, and my last opponent was Sakurai.”
“I want Sakurai to carry the weight I’ve entrusted to her and lead women’s professional wrestling. I think this is the resolution I’ve felt since meeting Sakurai.”

It remains to be seen when Giulia will make her official WWE debut on NXT at the time of this writing.
